Year of Hell, Parts 1 & 2

The best part about incursions in the timeline is all the rare food you get to try. The worst part is wiping entire civilizations from history. Voyager finds itself in the wrong time at the wrong time when Year of Hell goes into the Mission Log.

Good episode
This episode has the usual Star Trek “reset button” resolution but it’s a wonderfully uncompromising “What If?”
Seems to me like Ronald D Moore’s Battlestar Galactica was basically “4 Seasons of TV in Hell” with no reset button. The sturdy ship slowly falling apart is an integral part of the show. Not sure if there’s any connection with this episode or not. I have always loved it.
You’re absolutely right about Ron Moore’s inspiration for his take on Galactica. While the “reset button” is heavy in this episode, I do think it works best the way they resolved it. Now it would have been interesting to see them learn a little bit of a lesson though and let the possibility of more serialized storytelling get them through the rest of VOY.
