   Why does Chapel have the big red cross? Is she the only Christian in the 23rd century? Does she reject Spock as a blood donor?

     Interesting that McCoy has always had a science division insignia where Chapel wears the red cross. Incidentally, the Red Cross is the trademark holder for that red cross logo, even though it has been used for a long time as a generic symbol for military medical services.
