Fascinating stuff! A 3-4 part Best of Both Worlds, with an invasion of Earth? That would have been amazing to see. Saying that I think the episode(s) work just as well as they are. If anything, only hinting at the action allows your imagination to create a Battle of Wolf 359 far more epic than what they could have done at the time (proven a few years later with the beginning of DS9 which seemed to have only involved a handful of ships!)
